Hamas attack on Israel

In the early hours of October 7th, Hamas, an Islamic Militant Organization of the Gaza Strip, Palestine launched massive rocket attacks on several major Israeli cities, including those of Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. This attack took Israel, as well as the rest of the world by surprise, as Hamas’s rockets managed to get past Israel’s second to none missile defense systems. However, these attacks were unfortunately not limited to the launching of rockets, but also included Hamas militants illegally entering Israel and capturing Israeli civilians and taking them hostage back to the Gaza strip, combined with other shocking uses of terror such as shootings and stabbings. This occurred at the Re'im Music festival, close to Israel’s border with Gaza, which saw 260 dead and an unknown number captured by Hamas.
